Helpful Information

I did manage to trap a cat, but unfortunately it wasn’t India. It was my aunt’s cat, who is one of India’s sisters. I had been worried that India might be too big for the trap, so knowing that her slightly bigger sister can get into the trap is good to know.

I also received a tip that a black cat had been sighted in the 1500 block of 36th Street, which is not far from us. I have moved the trap up there and will be checking it regularly. I hope the black cat is India and that we catch her soon.

  1. We found a black cat all the way out in DeMotte Indiana. Talks-a-lot as in meowing, does something very strange. If your cat does something strange that you've never seen other cats do, instant message me and tell me what it is because I'll know if this is your cat stranger things have happened...

    1. India does do some things that seem to be unique to her. One thing she does is lay on her back with her front feet curled up. She looks like an otter when she does this. It's quite amusing.

Another thing she likes to do is somersault over the arm of one specific chair. She sits on the floor, springs to the arm of the chair and grabs onto the arm, then tucks her head and shoulders and flips over the arm of the chair, landing on her back on the seat of the chair.

I have never seen another cat do this, and I wish I had caught it on video, but she doesn't exactly give me warning that she's about to do it.

Anyway, as you say it does seem pretty far away to be India, but if you have observed the cat to do this, please let me know. India can also be identified by her green eyes, the very subtle kink in her tail, and the very few (maybe 12) white hairs on her chest.
